World Deaf Camp Jaspel welcomes Deaf children and CODA children aged 9–12 from all around the world!
The main goal of the camp is to develop leadership skills and to strengthen the identity and pride in sign language and Deaf culture among young participants.

Each group of children must be accompanied by one leader aged 18 or older, who is proficient in International Sign.
Every leader will be responsible for a group of 5 Deaf children or CODAs.

Countries are welcome to send multiple groups, but each group must always follow the 5+1 structure (5 children + 1 leader).
Leaders are responsible for their group’s safety, care, and well-being, and will handle any issues that may arise during the camp.

The camp is located in a small village called Výtoky, near the town of Piešťany. This peaceful location is situated approximately 98 km from Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.

The exact date of the camp is 13th – 20nd of July 2026. It starts with dinner on the 13th of July and ends with lunch on the 20nd of July.

We recommend that you book your flight tickets (or bus or train) for the 13th of July 2026 at the latest by 1pm in Vienna (Austria, Vienna – Schwechat Airport) or by 2pm in Bratislava (Slovakia, Bratislava – M.R. Štefánik Airport). There will be a shuttle bus from the airports to Výtoky (for an extra fee).

Shuttle bus fees (from the airport to the Camp and from the Camp to the airport):

• Vienna – Výtoky 79 eur
• Bratislava – Výtoky 65 eur.

The camp program will focus on developing leadership in sign language through a mix of playful education, sporting activities, cultural activities, and lectures. The complete schedule will be set and published by the end of May 2026.

If you would like to give a lecture or offer an activity in your area of expertise, please email a short description of your session and your profile to jaspel.ck@gmail.com. From the submitted proposals, we will select the ones that best fit the program.

Attached is a document which outlines what to do in the event of an emergency.

The price includes meals 5 times a day (breakfast, brunch, lunch, after lunch snack and dinner). If you have food intolerances, allergies, or special dietary requirements due to religious beliefs, please list them on the form so that we can accommodate all these needs.

Total Fee: €550
The price includes accommodation, full board (5 meals per day), program, and all activities.

Payment can be made in installments upon request.

The final payment needs to be made latest till May 2026.

It is everyone’s responsibility to arrange insurance himself and transport to Vienna (Austria, Schwechat airport) or Bratislava (Slovakia, M.R. Stefanik airport) and then from Vienna or Bratislava. There will be shuttle busses from the Camp back to Vienna – 79eur or Bratislava – 65eur.

Each parent is required to complete an application form.
When filling out the form, please make sure you already know who the group leader of your junior’s group will be.
The leader’s costs are covered by the families of the juniors in the group.

If your group does not yet have a leader, please indicate this in the application form, and we will assign a leader from the Jaspel Team to your group.

Please check whether you need a visa to enter Slovakia from your country of residence. You can find the official list of visa requirements here:

If you require a visa, please inform us after completing your registration.
Once you register, you will receive an invoice for payment. After the payment is received, we will issue an official invitation letter to support your visa application.

We strongly recommend that you apply for your visa well in advance.

If your visa application is officially denied, your payment will be refunded minus a €20 administrative fee.
